PEDIATRIC NURSING

Pediatrics is a specialty of medicine that specializes on the health and treatment of children, adolescents, and infants from birth to eighteen years of age. Pediatric Nursing educates the novice, enriches the scholar, and develops the pediatric specialist to provide high-quality health care to patients by offering theoretically and therapeutically  relevant content. Pediatric  nurses understand growth and development and customize their interactions to the child's developmental stage. They also recognize the family's knowledge and collaborate with them to care for the child. Because children are not miniature adults, diseases, equipment, and therapies for children are either different or present differently than those for adults.
